Instrumental music tuition is available at Mount Rowan on a withdrawal basis of one period per week.

Timetables are structured so that students do not always miss the same class and lessons are usually taken in small groups of up to six students. The college owns an extensive collection of instruments which are available for students to hire for the year, however, this service is not available for drums and guitar students. In addition to instrumental lessons, students participate in bands, camps, tours and concerts.
