Mathematics is a core subjects in Years 7-10 at Mount Rowan. Students develop skills in a range of activities including fundamental number skills, algebra, measurement and geometry, and statistics and probability.

Each year, we challenge students to increase their skills in each of these areas offering VCE General Mathematics and VCE Mathematical Methods units 1&2 to year 10 students as part of their senior pathway. At the end of each year the Mathematics faculty conduct jump start classes for the student to get a ‘taste’ of what the following year holds. These weeks include hands on activities as well as a key assessment project at the conclusion of the program just prior to the summer break.
