At Mount Rowan we pride ourselves on providing a supportive start to every student’s secondary school experience. As a small and cohesive Campus, every child is genuinely known by their support staff and teachers.

Our Transition program begins during the child’s later years of primary school. We involve all feeder primary schools in the transition activities that allow every student access to our secondary school and understand our learning environment. We encourage family involvement during the transition process as the partnership between the school, family and student in vital.

Once students begin their secondary schooling, all students are tested for their literacy and numeracy competency levels and this ensures that we are catering for the learning needs of all students.

Our Year 7 Camp held at the beginning of each year is another excellent transition activity for our students. This camp allows students to develop relationships with peers outside of the classroom.
