New Vision & New Values
Mount Rowan Campus is a Campus of Ballarat Secondary College
The Mount Rowan Campus has been established to provide a high quality 7-12 education for students in the Wendouree, Creswick, Miners Rest and surrounding areas including Ballarat North and outlying communities to the north of Ballarat. The school was previously the Wendouree Campus offering years 7 to 10 schooling but has been revitalised following extensive consultation with the community.
Launching in 2017 with its new Name, Mission and Values of Pride, Respect and Excellence the school offers a broad curriculum in years 7 to 10 and an exciting range of VCE subjects taught in small classes in a safe and friendly learning environment.
The school is structured around four vertical houses which focus on student resilience, social development and wellbeing and academic progress and achievement to build in all students those skills and attributes that will support their successful learning and future pathways.
In 2017 the school will commence a major building program that will refurbish the majority of the school facilities as well as creating a VCE and STEAM Centre and establishing a state of the art performance and exhibition centre. The Campus already boasts significant sporting facilities and spacious grounds and the new additions will further enhance the learning environment and opportunities for all of our students.
At Mount Rowan our mission is to challenge every child to strive for their intellectual, creative and physical potential. We are committed to inspiring and supporting each child in a safe, happy, orderly and caring environment that fosters acceptance and mutual respect.
We strive to support students to become moral, ethical and responsible citizens for our community, who are confident and creative builders of their future, equipped to take on a changing world.
